VERSENE 100 Chelating Agent is an aqueous solution of the tetrasodium salt of ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid.
Na4EDTA is the strongest, most versatile, and widely used chelant for controlling metal ions over a broad pH range in aqueous systems.
Versene 100 will not chelate monovalent metal ions such as sodium or potassium, but will chelate most multivalent metal ions (e.g., Fe, Cu, Mn, Ca, Mg, Zn) in a 1:1 molar ratio.
The chelation reaction of Versene 100 is virtually instantaneous in most cases.

Description of first aid measures:
General advice: First Aid responders should pay attention to self-protection and use the recommended protective clothing (chemical resistant gloves, splash protection).

Inhalation: Move person to fresh air.
If not breathing, give artificial respiration; if by mouth to mouth use rescuer protection (pocket mask, etc).
If breathing is difficult, oxygen should be administered by qualified personnel.
Call a physician or transport to a medical facility.

Skin contact: Wash off with plenty of water.
